Diligent, caring, and engaged
Our son attended OLPH school for grades 6 and 7, and this experience has provided a marvellous transition towards his upcoming secondary years.
He comes back from school happy, with stories to tell about his days and energy left to complete his homework or participate in afterschool activities. From the beginning he has wanted to go to school every day. We have been very impressed by the professionalism of all the staff in the school. There is great coherence between the different levels, and we always felt treated like we and our son belonged to the school even though we arrived late in the elementary years.
The academic standards at OLPH are very high without overwhelming our child. The teaching, assistance, and marking from teachers are very effective and supportive of his evolution as a student. The assistance we received from the special education staff was warm and timely, always respectful of our needs and concerns. We’ve felt listened to every time we had a concern regarding our son’s academic or social development.
We really appreciate how the school is developing its students’ sense of respectful and inclusive behaviour. We wish all elementary schools in the country were as diligent, caring, and engaged as OLPH.
